Does any one out there know way back in 1933 if National ever made a solid peg head El Trovador. I know they were only made for a year or so and were slotted peg heads.

You’ve been looking on eBay at H152 !! No is the answer to your question. The El Trovador was built by Kay in 1933. It was continued by Harmony using H serial numbers.. Both Kay and Harmony built guitars have slot heads. Later in 1934, Harmony replaced the guitar with the Estralita. This has a flat headstock. The body is now a 14 fret to the body. The guitar on eBay is a Trojan body with an Estralita headstock and fitted with an El Trovador decal and serial number

Do you have a link for this guitar celtic or Mark? I'm thinking of selling my old El Trov (s/n K451) and would be interested to gauge demand.

Don't think anyone in their right mind would deal with someone with that feedback rating anyway.

Thanks to everyone. When in doubt ask those that know. Yes it was the ebay instrument and price is still under $500.00. Lost interest. Graeme I like the old wood Nationals. have a number of different ones. I usually buy "junk" and restore them . Maybe we could talk about yours. Contact me through my web site. Celtic Cross Instruments . Thanks everyone for all your help.
