I'd guess it's a 're-purposed' Eko Texan, a rather cheap & nasty mid-60s affair, which was what got me started on guitar back then - the headstock & fingerboard end shape are quite distinctive, as is the back - 15 guineas it cost me!

Looks like an Eko to me too. Though cheap, they are fairly solid and can make a good platform for a resonator. Unless the neck was reset, there may not be enough angle on the neck. Pete

I sold the Eko that I converted, but there is a video and I can see it was an almost identical guitar. This one has not been finished well, and the violin style F holes are a little small. But if it was made 30 years or so ago it may have a genuine Dobro cone, spider and cover. So if it goes for around £100 in might be worth getting. The screw in the heal seem to indicate that the neck is unglued? This would be good as the neck angle needs to be steeper that the Eko had when new and removing the neck could be messy . Pete When I converted my Eko I glued a 3mm solid mahogany top to the old ply top. This made the top very stiff, this one looks like it has a very thin top (covering the old sound hole) and may not be stiff enough to get a good sound.

Michael has a wood burner, he may be able to use the guitar once the useable parts have been harvested!!!
