I do know of John Morton. As well as making resophonic ukes, John is a friend of Robert Armstrong. I have seen photos of Robert's work on John's instruments.

I think this might be a moment of synchronicity... I posted this and went back to his site and perused the gallery. I noticed some incredible artwork both in the construction of his guitars as well as paintwork. I took a screenshot of "Micky rat behind bars" and was curious about who dunnit. ( there's a personal story I won't bore you with about Micky rat) Turns out the artist is Robert Armstrong who's name I searched after you mentioned it... Im thinking of making a trip out to Seattle and parts further north. There's a couple guitars out there I wanna possibly buy... Maybe it's an omen ? all best, Jeff P.s. I wonder about how his guitars play and sound... Some neat looking lap and tenors.

Jeff
I have no idea about how they sound because I have only ever seen photos of them in connection to Robert Armstrong's work. I don't know of anybody, apart from Armstrong, that plays them.
I reckon it's an omen and a trip to Seattle and Vancouver sounds okay to me!
Safe travels
