This is actually very important. While the likes of Led Zeppelin aren't in any danger of dying in penury there must be many artists who's final years could be made more comfortable if this became law. Cream made Skip James' latter years a bit easier by making sure he got royalties for their cover of 'I'm so Glad'

I have only just spotted this thread and will read about what is going on before I comment.
One comment I will make is that it has to happen. The laws have to change.

This is an interesting subject. However, I really do not want us to drift into a political discussion on my forum. Let's just stay with the music and the instruments.

is the random access memory [RAM] the first thing to go in an olde operating system [OS]?
a question mankind has been pondering since the dawn of civilization?
mitchfit said, "...with deceased band member Randy California [Guitar for Chicago Transit Authority..."
recalled this morning, and then checked as i should have last night, Randy California was the guitarist for Spirit, not the alleged CTA. their guitarist was Terry Kath. also deceased.
it's easy to see how an aging memory could have made this mistake, BOTH names start with a letter of the alphabet. :^)

Terry Kath was a wonderful guitarist. I saw Chicago Transit Authority at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 1969. Terry Kath really caught my attention, I remember being completely overwhelmed by his playing. They played a very long set and I loved every second of it. Pretty exciting stuff, I was only 13. Great memories!
