Well I've finally got around to putting up another video of my Coodercaster, somewhat inspired by the new Ry Cooder track 'Prodigal Son' (bar the intro). Hope you guys like it. Please listen with headphones if you can! I haven't managed to get the audio sounding right yet, I used a zoom H1 but it sounded so much better in person! Really quite deafening though and it's only a 5 watt amp

Sounds great. Nice tone & touch.
I have gigged and recorded with 5 watt amps for the past 25 years. They really are quite loud and as long as you don't work with loud drummers, which I don't, they are all you need (IMHO).

Shine On Michael Thanks Micahel, I've always been a fan of small amps and for recording they are great. I also have a Marshall Bluesbreaker but to get it to the point where the valves are working properly it is way too loud for home use, an attenuator is definitely needed. I do really like my little Harley Benton GA5, especially with the Coodercaster, sounds great cranked and although it's loud it doesn't make my ears bleed

I went through the bleeding ears amps in my teens and twenties, and then realised that it was completely unnecessary and haven't used a loud amp since. In my mid thirties I started getting tinnitus from playing too loud, so that was it for me.
Your playing sounds very nice

Thanks Michael, much appreciated. I don't gig much so for me a smaller amp is perfect but then you can always mic a small amp anyway and use it for gigging! Tinnitus is awful, I suffer from it from time to time but mine's hereditary rather than down to loud amps!

Really nice touch. To make slide interesting beyond moving a tube up and down open tuning is a skill. You have it nailed. Me I'm still on the other side of that fence looking!
