The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin have a lot of these. As well as covering old songs, many bands including my own "borrow" ideas and riffs from old recordings. A classic example of this is Humphrey Littleton's Bad Penny Blues and the Beatles Lady Madonna
...Muddy Waters "You Need Love"
...becomes Led Zeppelin "Whole Lotta Love"
....Cliff Richard & the Shadows "Move It"
....becomes T.Rex "Get It On"
....the Staple Singers "This May Be the Last Time"
....becomes the Rolling Stones "The Last Time"
....Kokomo Arnold's "Busy Bootin' "
...becomes Little Richard's "Keep a Knockin' "
