Jono,
Thanks for being considerate.
These are pretty good guitars. There are some really good Weissenborn copies being produced in China. I don't know what you are paying, but don't pay too much.

I would get an original. The budget models and copies are really quite different in sound and feel. I think you might be disappointed.

You are absolutely right about the original Weissenborns and Kona guitars, but they don't come cheap.

I have been looking at the guitars Jonno mentioned as well. They look good. I'm sure the real things are much better, but as Michael says, more expensive. I came across Anderwood guitars - they've got a good range. They're in Dorset. anderwoodguitars.com/

Not that I’ve ever seen one in the flesh, let alone playefd one, but Ermanno Pasqualato of Hermann Guitars (Italy) makes some nice looking instruments at what I recall as good prices, especially at ther less ornate end of his range. Here’s a link to some earlier discussion - and pictures- elsewhere on this forum: link

Bod, I didn't know about Ermanno Pasqualato's Hermann Guitars back in 2010 when that thread was going, but since then I have seen his work. I agree that his guitars are very nice.
