It's that time of year again - Pocklington Acoustic Blues & Roots Weekend 2017! Last year's event was such a great success and so many people have said how much they enjoyed Robbie McIntosh's tuition and company, that I thought we should do it one more time. I called Robbie and asked if he would like to be our guest at this year's event. Robbie said he had such a great time, both musically and socially, that he would love to be there. I am very happy to announce that our guest tutor for 2017 is once again the wonderful guitarist, Robbie McIntosh. Robbie is well known for his guitar-work with some of the world's great artists, including; Sir Paul McCartney, the Pretenders, Norah Jones, John Mayer, Mark Knopfler, Sir Tom Jones, Cher, Paul Carrack and many others. I will update this thread with more details about the weekend, but meanwhile... Here's Robbie with the Pretenders at Live Aid in 1985.... ....with Paul McCartney in 1991... ...playing slide with Paul McCartney in 1993... ...with Mark Knopfler in London, 2002... ...with Norah Jones & Dolly Parton in 2009... ...with John Mayer in 2015... ...Robbie McIntosh Band, soundcheck, 2016... ...Robbie and Michael, London 2016... ....and again...Robbie and Michael... Robbie, myself and all the staff at Pocklington Arts Centre very much look forward to seeing everyone in November. Shine On Michael

Booked, not without a little difficulty it has to be said. The online booking on the website is down at the moment and I had a bit of trouble getting through to the booking office but all's well that end's well. Looking forward to it. The Pocklington weekend never fails to deliver!

Visited PAC yesterday to collect ticket. They can now accept credit card bookings again via the box office. The online booking option still seems to be down.

Hi Michael, thanks again for all your help,it really is much appreciated. Unfortunately all efforts to find accommodation has failed,we were offered space in a stable but it wasn't quite what we had in mind! You have actually filled the town and surrounding areas to capacity.
Best wishes to you all, have a wonderful weekend, John

That's a pity you can't make it Bonz. At least you don't have to change your name if you're not using the stable.
