Hi, I'm just know recovering from burnout and I have been already 8 weeks in home. Doctors are saying that I won't start working until beginning of next year. It was very strange, when your brains refuse to cooperate with you and you can't make any decisions or analytical things. It was just impossible and you couldn't even tap your leg and say: one and two and ... That was too difficult. BUT .....it was really nice to notice that I could play what ever I liked without any rules. Just what I felt to be good and pleasant. And a lot of locks were opened and my musical capabilities has grown very fast!!!! ;D Yours Pertti

I recall an interview where Richard Thompson said he sometimes played guitar while watching television so as to stop him thinking about what he was playing, and that some really interesting music came out as a result.

Hi Pertti,
I am sorry to hear that you are unwell, but I am pleased to hear that your musical capabilities are growing. I like Pete's comment about Richard Thompson - I do that too, I just play anything and watch the TV. Sometimes I play along with the soundtrack to a movie, play, or just the adverts, it's amazing what I discover when I am doing that.
I wish you well, Shine On, Michael.
