It’s that time of year again. The pecan tree has got through a British winter outside just fine (we had a very mild one here, no snow and few hard frosts) Very glad I didn’t book a trip to Mississippi this year ! Pete

I have booked a trip to Arizona and neighbouring states for September, but who knows if it will happen? Waiting and watching
Better get back to my Covid Cabin as the other half insists calling my shed

I gave the pecan a haircut last autumn ( it was getting taller than our greenhouse) and because the last 2 winters have been mild, left it in a corner of the garden. Despite a cold wet winter/spring it has bounced back and looks very happy. I wonder if the ancient stump ( that the nut came from) with it’s 2 or 3 branches that stood by Muddy Waters old cabin site is still there? Anyone been in Mississippi this year? Pete
