I'm having trouble - no-ones avatar showing at all and I thought there used to be buttons to modify a post etc, it seems even the reply button has gone AWOL?
I'm using Firefox, but have been doing so for some time so ummm??
And it seems I missed Larry's cake, let's hope he will bring the real thing to EBA school..
Any idea's on the display ?

Any one else having this problem with the new proboard?
It used to open in a frame and when I clicked on the back button of my browser it vanished and I returned to the page before it..
Now on both my pcs it opens full page and no matter how many times I click on the back button it keeps on re-opening proboards. I have to close the browser and then restart it and navigate back to the page I was on before opening proboards.
I know that Michael is in the studio recording his new cd so don't want to bother him with an email, but has anyone the same problem, and also any solutions?
Thanks.
Colin

One interesting thing is that unless you are logged in the avatars do not appear, that must be a bit of a real downer for the non-members

Hi everyone,
I too am experiencing the same problems as you are. It is very frustrating and when I have finished recording my new album, I will contact ProBoards and try to improve things. The problem is that I do not want to move the forum to another company because we will lose all that we have built up on this one, so I will do my best to get these glitches sorted out. Meanwhile it might be a good idea for forum members to write to the customer support guys at ProBoards and let them know about the problems.
Thanks,

Hi Michael & and anyone else interested. Using code at my site as the example (Michael's only differs in the forum called) Both of us have been calling proboards in our index page (the left hand frame) using a line like: <a href="http://michaelmesser.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=notecannons" >NOTECANNONS<br> FORUM</a><br> This was loading it into the big right hand frame (defined as "main") since we had a line in the head code reading <base target="main"> This caused all links opened in the index to open and display in the "main' frame. However now proboards wants to open full screen and overrules/clobbers the browser's use of frames. Thus our problem. The solution is to add the code TARGET="_blank" to the code that calls proboards. Thus: <a href="http://michaelmesser.proboards7.com/index.cgi?board=notecannons" target="_blank">NOTECANNONS<br> FORUM</a><br> Now proboards opens in a new browser window and when closed goes away leaving us back at the calling page. Aloha! PS Hope the recording went well, looking forwards to hearing the new CD in due course!
