Michael, I have a box of guitar tutors, DVDs and stuff that I no longer use, plus a couple of resonators for sale. What's your view on a bring'n'buy swap shop at Pocklington (as long as it doesn't interfere with the lessons).
Cheers

That's great news about Steve James, and it's motivated me to book my place this week rather than leave it to the last minute as usual! Anyone who's thinking of going but hasn't yet booked, the Feathers is now full, as is I believe the only B&B in the town centre. There are other B&Bs and hotels in the vicinity if you don't mind a short drive - I can recommend this place, where I stayed last year - www.aldercarrhouseyork.co.uk/index.htmlCheers, Richard

If anyone is still looking for accommodation for Pocklington, I've just heard from a friend that he's managed to book in at the Yorkway Motel and that they still have some rooms left.

Great stuff, looking forward to this. Not been before, is it best to park at the hotel and walk to the arts centre, or go and park at the arts centre etc. apart from me and my MM28 is there anything else I should bring along ? Beer tokens

Not been before, is it best to park at the hotel and walk to the arts centre, or go and park at the arts centre etc. apart from me and my MM28 is there anything else I should bring along ? Beer tokens You'll have a great time, I'm sure - I went last year and loved it. I'd be going this year if I could. Can't say about parking as such (I don't drive), but if by 'the hotel' you mean The Feathers, it takes less than a minute to walk from there to The Arts Centre. Things to take, aside from your guitar and beer tokens, I'd say: spare strings, spare picks (if you use them), spare slide (if you use glass), a tuner that works off vibration (rather than only a mic) and, very definitely, something to record the lessons on if you can (unless you have Astounding Memory Man-type abilities.)
