Just for everyones information there was a BLUE fronted OMI catalogue in 1977, a beige fronted catalogue in 1981 and a white one with a music stave on it behind the logo in 1986. The one that Brad has posted (green one) is about 1979/80. I can tell this from the prices. The 1977 is cheaper and the 1981 more expensive on all the parts.

Having just read Lee's post about the oddball things OMI produced apart from Dobros, I thought you might like to see some other weird directions they went to in 1979.

Mark, I have just unearthed the 94' brochure and price list (just before Gibson) which probably hits the nail on the head with the origional post for this thread. I will get it to Mike (as being technically inept) and hopefully he can load it up on this thread. Regards Lee Holliday.

Hello Lee Funnily enough, Michael M and I were talking on the phone a few days ago noting that neither of us were too sure about the period around 1996/7 when Gibson appeared on the scene.

I have just received a copy of the 1994 OMI brochure - I will scan and post it on this thread later. Mark & Brad, I will send you high res scans.

It has been a while since this thread was last active, Michael you might have to look again for that catalogue I sent you as I could not resist another OMi which subject to shipping should be with me in a few weeks (slow boat).
I am saying no more at the moment as have not seen it in the flesh and do not want to tease fate any more than I have to!!!

New, well 29 year old Dobro was picked up from the Parcelforce depot yesterday after being stuck for nearly two weeks in customs clearance in Coventry, that is frustrating as not a lot you can do or contact as you have to go at there speed, Dead slow. I will get some pictures up soon and see if you can make an educated guess as to what I have been tempted by Lee Attachments:
