As for your cone slipping into a coma on the way from NZ - having visited my daughter in New Plymouth (North Island) earlier this year and flying back via LA (13 hours over the Pacific ) I know just how it feels!!! I didn't interpret it that way. By the way there is a line of glass resin guitars here in the states that is rapidly gaining popularity among bluegrassers with moderately deep pockets called CA (composite acoustic I think). They sound very good also, but very different from the Martin dreadnought sound. Much less frequency bias in the lower mids. Great for recording I'm told. Actually, if I keep playing resonators I may get voted out of the Bluegrass Mafia. Do reso & slide players have one?

Lucian
get a Beltona and we can form a fibreglass Mafia cell, that with the right hammer would be easily smashed!
