Still anxiously awaiting the arrival of my copy ... as well as a new lead-filled glass bar from Ian and the crew at Diamond. (I daresay that the already overburdened postman has been annoyed at the way I snatch the mail out of his hands!)
Happy Christmas (and Boxing Day) to you all -- and especially to you, Michael, for hosting one of the friendliest forums on the Internet.

Aloha Colin & Russ,
Thanks for the messages & kind words. I enjoy hosting the forum & keeping in touch with everyone.
Shine On, Michael.
Russ, I am sure the postman will turn up any day now with a copy of Lucky Charms in one hand & a glass bar in the other. Thinking about the postman reminds me of one of my favourite movies; Jacques Tati as Francois the village postman in 'Jour deFete'.
Colin, I'll call you soon for a chat and to catch up with all the news.
Happy Boxing Day & best wishes for a healthy, peaceful and prosporous New Year!

Hey Michael,
You want to watch it now you're in the Sun. What's the next headline going to be? "Michael Messer Ate My Hampster" or "My Nite of Torrid String Plucking With Reso Ace"?

If it's the Sunday Sport you'll be sighted on the moon with Elvis & Lord Lucan.
And congrats on the excellent reviews. Well deserved. Presume you saw the one in Acoustic mag.?

My copy has arrived! (I should probably add "at long last.' The Royal Mail and U.S. Postal Service apparently fumbled the exchange, but Michael and Bob Allen of Cooking Vinyl took good care of me.) Michael, it gets better with every listening. (Not to say that the first one was all that bad ... ) As expected, there is some terrific slide guitar, but the overall approach is anything but "traditional" blues -- and it works! Thanks for taking such a bold -- and musically risky -- step. You've extended the boundaries, in all the right ways.

Got it from Itunes. Great album. Love the son house samples. What guitars did you use?

Just found a copy in 'Borders' at the shopping hell that is the London Colney Mall (there was about 3 copies if ya interested). Went in Borders to escape the madding crowds and ended up in their blues section - quite a good selection.
Really like Sunflower River, Mike
