I am really sorry about this, but....
Yesterday I had a meeting with my accountant. We started looking at the figures for this year and I rather proudly told her about the price increase that I introduced recently. Much to my surprise having looked through my new prices and recent sales, rather than congratulating me on being "on the ball" so to speak, she chuckled and asked if I was planning to apply for charity status for MM Guitars, and if so, had I considered who might be the trustees.
Having known me for many years she then asked if had noticed how much more it is costing to buy and import the guitars, and if I had noticed a drop in the profits, to which I replied that I have and that I just put that down to the current state of our country and world.
So the situation is that I now have to put my prices up right across the MM range to come in line with rising costs and inflation, and to deliver me a decent profit. That will be as little as I can, but it will have to be a substantial amount. This will be put into place to start from 1st January 2023.
I will post more information when I have digested this and worked out what these new prices will be.
It's a strange world because I feel obligated to keep my prices as low as possible and to apologise to my customers about having to increase them, but that is not how 99.9% of companies deal with it, they just put their prices up and we as customers have to accept them or not buy the product.
I thank all forum members and MM Guitars customers for your support.

Hi there !
The real cost of making these guitars, including everything up till the point they are ready to be sent to a customor, plus a decent chunk of money to make it worth your while spending the hours that you do AND HAVE DONE, to make these guitars available, is what it is fair to charge (at the very least).
I really don't think you have anything to apologise for.

Thank you everyone, your kind words of support are much appreciated. 🙏
Most guitar companies are owned and run by business people. I am not and I don't want to be that, I am a musician and because of my love of resonator guitars and my knowledge about them, fourteen years ago my guitar business organically formed around me.

When i purchased my "Lightning" from you 4 years ago I signed off our e-mail exchange by describing you as a scholar and a gentleman and this thread confirms that I was correct in my belief.

I picked up the MM Blues 12 fret model used in the US earlier in the year. They don’t show up here that often. I already have a ‘30 Triolian and a ‘33 Rosita. Having followed this forum for years I new the MM Blues would be a great guitar to own and take to places I wouldn’t take the old Nationals. These are great guitars. I can’t say that enough. The new prices are still an unbelievable deal. Then you have Michael who offers up the very best in supportive customer service and the priceless knowledge of resonator guitars. Lastly, the story of how these came to even be is amazing to me. Thanks, Michael for these great guitars.
All the best, Brian

In this day and age, principles such as yours are rare indeed. Please do what you have to do to continue bringing us these instruments.

After much deliberation I have now raised the prices of MM Guitars to enable me to continue. It is quite a leap, but I had to do it to come in line with everything in my supply chain getting so much more expensive.
As of 1st January 2023 these are the prices of MM Guitars. (all prices are in GBP)
MM Fiddle Edge - £1895.00 MM Lightning - £849.00 MM Blues 12 fret - £839.00 MM Blues 14 fret - £835.00 MM Blues 28 - £825.00 MM Blues 36 - £795.00
