Hi, I was reading the posts and I noted the mention of a Gold Tricone and the fact a few of you thought they imagined such a thing.Well you were correct it was built by David for me many years ago. It is a prized possession, and a thing of true beauty. It sounds as good as it looks.I have taken some pictures today and to be honest it is truly stunning. I am now retired and have moved.I would appreciate it if there were no further chat regarding my good self for various personal/saftey reasons or speculation of the guitars location. I would be happy to answer any other questions if I can. I hope to see David in the near future, and have great memories of visiting his workshop. Also the visits to the pub to see Michael,Ron etc playing some fine tunes. Regards Clyde

Thanks for the photos Clyde, the Rogers tuners and the Dave King head stock profile are clues for those who know Daves work. Your fingerboard reminds me of the musician who attended Daves workshop in Reading when he was working on a tree of life inlay, unfortunately a wasp entered the equation, the visiting musician tried to swat the wasp and next thing all over Daves hard work is over the floor, Dave withdrew the welcome mat for that day, in words beginning and ending with F......
Happy days when Dave was making these guitars, I turned one down that was a cancelled order as was over committed at the time, nothing changes in that department.
I have some glimpses of these guitars in construction from early editions of the Guitar magazine where Dave did monthly how to fix it articles, one of these days I will get them up on here.
Regards Lee

Found this in a May 2006 Guitar and Bass magazine where Dave was a technical contributor, you can just see a line of bodies in the workshop
