If they turn up on your patch you can send us boys round Michael! 😄🎸👍 To quote the late Mr Loaf, "You took the words right out of my mouth!"The only problem I can foresee is that sending you boys round to an address in China could be costly. Shine On Michael

I have been assured that this operation has now stopped and that as far as my manufacturer knows, they do not have the stock they claim to have. Well, there's definitely one, because that is not a PhotoShop image.
This thread will remain here to ward off any other scoundrels and chancers!

Good to know that the operation has been stopped. The supplier claimed to have 86 in stock, that would be a lot of cover plates to go missing. Guitar looks to be a copy of the MM Blues 28 flamed maple prototype. I wonder if that one ended up back in China or just copied from the pictures. www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/resonator-guitar-michael-messer-blues-523117946

It looks like it is one of those prototypes, which although I didn’t say, is exactly what I thought it was. Well that was nearly ten years ago and if there are a few floating around, I can do no more than I’ve done to stop them.
These instruments were as I said, basically a re-shaped Minolian with 3mm top, back and sides and no neck stick. They were/are inferior instruments and should not bear my name. Most of a small handful that made it to the UK were returned, but it seems that one or two remained.
Thanks for sharing that information

It is disheartening to see one's hard work copied. I hope that people will keep coming here for your guitars Michael. I doubt that any European or American buyers would go for their website. Looks too fake.

Thanks Bert. I think you are right that people will not buy from the copy companies. This is the reason for this thread. Most people buying an MM guitar come here in their research.
