Hello,
I was looking for online ressources about Highlife style guitar from Nigeria (I'm deeply in love with Celestine UKWU's music), when I've discovered this young guitarist.
She's positive, helpful, surely gifted AND hardworking...
... Check it out, something tells me that we should hear more from her one day or later !

I have known Helen's playing for a while. Helen is active on social media and therefore quite well known. While Helen is definitely talented and I enjoy some of the stuff she posts online, she seems more at home to me when playing American music, blues and soul, than she does with African High Life music. I have a few friends that play in this style and there was a time in the 1980s when I was around a lot of of this stuff. I produced some tracks for the late S.E.Rogie, and although his music was called Palm Wine Music, its closest relation was probasbly Ghanaian and Nigerian High Life. Helen definitely deserves a wider audience, but to do that she needs to make a great album and start touring.
Shine On Michael.
