Hi guys I’ve decided to let my Blueridge BR 361 go as I need to clear some space and it’s not getting much of a look in since I bought a Waterloo. Blueridge are a lesser known brand but i tried it on recommendation of a couple of forum members and I was blown away. I honestly think it’s the best vintage style parlour you can get for under £1,000. It plays great and sounds fantastic. Here are a few specs: Solid Sitka spruce top with scalloped braces Solid Santos rosewood back and sides. Slim mahogany neck with Ebony fingerboard. Slotted headstock. Pyramid-style bridge. 1906 O-Style Parlor Guitar Distinctive herringbone marquetry and snowflake position markers. Natural high-gloss finish. Scale Length: 24.75inch (630mm) Neck/Body Joint: 12th Fret Nut Width: 1 7/8 There is some small damage on the back of neck where it joins with the headstock, this happened in the store that I bought it from due to a dodgy stand. There is also a small ding on the top. Both shown in the pictures and price reduced accordingly. I am selling it for £500 plus £20 U.K. P&P. PM me if your interested or for an international postage quote. All the best David

Someone should buy this!! I have the BR341 (hog back and sides) and for the money it's ridiculous. Money aside the only flat tops I've had the pleasure to play that topped it (within the vaguely same body size) is a Collings OOO and a Waterloo, both way way more dollar. They're so resonant with brilliant sound balance and loads of volume. Fingerpicker's dream. I'd never sell mine - it also works a treat for slide as I found out when without my MM guitar for a year, and if I could I'd take it off your hands David. In all honesty I think you should keep it man!!! Cracking guitar all...I'm certain whoever ends up owning it next will be immensely happy with themselves 😎

Hey Lew
I hope all is well!! Thank you for the glowing review! It really is a great guitar and if I had the space I would keep it but sadly I now have guitars coming out of every nook and cranny and 2 more on order so somethings got to go 😂
Your spot on though, it’s an excellent finger style and slide guitar. It sounds and plays great and is just lots of fun to play!!
All the best David

No probs David! I hope you find it a new home soon :-) What else have you got coming in?
Here's a clip of the BR371, which is the same guitar but with more bling:

Hey Lew
Thanks for sharing that. I did play a 371 when I got mine and they are definitely identical but for my personal taste I preferred the look of the 361.
I’ve got Steve Evans at Beltona building me a Southerner Cutaway which should hopefully be ready by the end of the month plus a telecaster being built by Gordon Smith plus I’ve just bought another squire thinline telecaster I’m setting up for slide. I’ve had a bit of a GAS attack of late 😂 God bless my patient wife!!
All the best David

Good lord! And a Waterloo...that's a sweet set of guitars man!!!
I'm with you regarding the 361 vs the 371...I'm not so keen on all the bling of the latter.
Have a good weekend.
Lew

Unfortunately we are still shielding at the moment as we have vulnerable people in the home so sadly I can’t have anyone in to try it anyway.
I know it’s not the same but if it helps I’m very happy to jump on a video call to show it and answer any questions.

I have two k Yairi - a DY53 which is kind of built of the guild F30 lines with a 3 piece back and is a total stunner, and a YSL-1SB which is very close to Gibson B25 / LG1 but I’m tempted by a 12 fret guitar which I’d be selling the YSL to pay for and it would have to be a jaw dropper to beat the Yairi, so without playing it I won’t be able to tell. Shame. I’m intrigued by blueridge. John Alderson is a genius luthier who builds top top notch resonators near me in the Midlands who had a 00028 Clapton model which be sold because his Chinese blueridge matched it and he’s a very discriminating man.
