View AttachmentThis Jazz-Blues no serial sighed by Don Young and dated at 89 ,has a metal cone plat-form. I have done a set-up on another Jazz-Blues serial#78 has a metal one as well! I was under the impression all had it except the later El Trovador,,,,,,,,,,, Kenny,,,,, Kenny, if that's a jazz blues in the photo it is nothing like the wooden bodied one also dated 1989 I had. Yours looks like a metal body in that picture or do my eyes deceive me?

Pat I also remember your guitar at Daves and was there when he was fettling the cone, if Don young was still around he could have spun a cone to the correct dimensions I guess, irrespective Dave got round it as usual.

I had a NRP RadioTone (not the IMO, ugly bend away version) and it had a lovely tone. Indistinguishable in recordings from my vintage Duolian. Ultimately tho, I traded it off because the nechh was so much more narrow than my other resonators.... No truss rod (and no problem) but I wasn't aware it had a metal well!

Yes its a maple veneer, the original finish was a sunburst that lifted,, and I tried an old polychrome finish to it but it flaked terribly. but its an awesome sounding guitar ,in fact it is fitted with a minty vintage cone and sounds like an old National,,,,, Kenny,,,,

I now believe you. I was confused with the apparent "rolled" f-holes on your guitar, they are not the "flat" ones you usually see on a wooden bodied one.
