Hi everyone! I just discovered this forum, and already have been helped by one of the members who is kindly sending me a spare biscuit bridge that I need. He suggested it would be a good idea to post a picture of my reso guitars. I'm a tenor banjo and guitar player living in Spain, I mainly play early jazz. My band's name is Potato Head Jazz Band, if you are curious and want to have a look. Well, here they are, I'm very happy with these 2: 1- National Triolian Tenor single cone from the 30's which after some years of playing it, I decided to give to a local luthier for some improvements it needed, neck straightening (a new reinforced fingerboard was needed, as there's no truss rod in these ones), and new frets. It sounds powerful and has an unique tone. It's just acoustic! when I play it live with a jazz band I use a mic. 2- Custom made Leewald (formerly Amistar) that I ordered from their workshop at the Czech Republic. I told them many of my wanted specs, which they followed to the letter... (string spacing, length, engravings...). It comes with their signature "duotone" pickup system, it's cool because I can choose between different tones, though I mostly prefer to use the more acoustic one. It sounds completely different to the National, quite warm, which I appreciate very much. I wish you all a merry Christmas! Antonio

HolĂ Antonio! Happy Christmas! There's not much Tenor players around those days, very glad to discover your band. Man it's hot!
Tenor resonators have something very magic inside, I love that sound more and more. You've got beautyfull instruments.
And it's nice to see a Leewald, as this brand is relatively new, carrying on the legacy of "Amistar" (wich we are discussing in another thread and as we can see, the engraver he's still working on unique designs, very impressive).
Your Triolian looks great to (Have you choosed an experienced luthier for this work? Nationals are very specific instruments and sometimes a good regular luthier can do inapropriate things without even thinking doin' anything wrong, I don't know if there's any National experienced luthier in Spain, but France is not so far... your tenor seems to be in very good condition, he deserves a nice work on his neck). I hope this remark is not too intrusive. Best wishes
