Yep, my Triolian's a '33, has the felt gasket in good nick so I kept it. I'm sure they're original. Cheers.

Hi everyone, just a follow up to all thats been discussed, hope of interest. After the work on the Duolian, removing felt gasket, adjusting the action, restringing general tidy up etc I was pleased with the results of my efforts as I said in an earlier post. I played the guitar for a few days and then it was put back on its stand and left alone while I used other guitars for different practices. Fast forward best part of 3 weeks and I got the Duolian out again yesterday. Wow! Not only had it stayed in tune it sounded fantastic! Bigger fuller sound, lovely in every respect. I've always been a believer in reso's settling in and this was the proof of the pudding. Any one with similar experience (I know there are) please post and share.
Best wishes to you all for a Happy and Healthy New Year, John

Hi there !
I have had a 1933 Duolian, and a 1933 Polychrome Triolan, both with rolled F-hoes. They both had felt gaskets and did not sound great. After removing the gaskets & luthier work, they turned into monster notecannons !!! I have videos of them on Youtube (username = snakehips81)
