Not a guitarist I know, but more than a few of us on the forum will remember Wayne Fontana fondly. The Bo Diddley riff in Game of Love, whoa. Bit of a character, fewer of them about. RIP Wayne.
Best wishes to you all, John

Sad news indeed.
I loved this song when it was a hit in 1965. I was nine years old and had a red plastic Beatles guitar and snare drum. I also had some proper Mick Jagger maracas and of course, a tambourine, and I used to jump around the bedroom making a terrible noise with this playing on the record player! I used an upright Hoover vacuum cleaner for the microphone stand. Nothing has changed, I just got taller and older.
Here are Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders at the Empire Pool, Wembley, in 1965
There were some amazing concerts at the Empire Pool at that time.
Wayne Fontana (Glyn Ellis) >RIP

This is taken from the BBC news website: "In 2007, Fontana was back in the headlines when he was sent to jail for pouring petrol over a bailiff's car and setting it alight. At the time, his lawyer admitted his client had been "in considerable contact" with a number of bailiffs, but had no vendetta against them.(??? my insert) The singer angered the judge by turning up to court dressed as the Lady of Justice, carrying a sword and scales, and wearing a crown, cape and dark glasses. He was sentenced to 11 months". Sounds like quite a guy! RIP sir!!
