Now that one has hit me hard.
Thanks for the music, the fun and letting me have a shot on your Les Paul all those years ago.
What a legacy Mr. Green has left us.
Sleep peacefully, young man.

Very sad to hear that Peter Green has died.
Peter's flame of creativity did not last as long as it should have and much of his life was spent in circumstances that can only be described as tragic.
Luckily for us and for generations to come, Peter Green left a legacy as one of the most important artists of the 20th century.
I have been listening to some of Peter's classic Fleetwood Mac recordings over the past few months, and even now with all the music I have listened to and been involved with in my life, I find his work as a writer, singer, arranger and guitarist, truly quite extraordinary. The people around Peter at the time were very lucky, because he took them to a place they never dreamed existed.
In 2001, along with a bunch of other artists, I shared the bill with Peter Green at the Bishopstock Festival in South West England. As all three of us were playing the same stage on the Sunday, I had the great pleasure of spending a couple of hours with Peter while watching Nina Simone. Peter was very friendly and humble, such a sweet and warm person.
RIP >Peter Green

Doh !
My we trio were supposed to do a support slot for him, at the Edinburgh J&B Fest, many moons ago (circa 8yrs ago). He cancelled the gig, due to ill-health, so we never got our gig, or to meet him etc.
I think we were promised a support slot with him again, if he ever got booked again. Never happened though.
Another one gone to the almighty jam session in the sky. RIP Mr Green

Interestingly and according to Mick Fleetwood (he should know) Peter insisted the band should be called Fleetwood Mac without the Peter Green bit so that if in the future he moved on they would still have an identity. What did he know? He certainly knew at that point that stardom was not for him.

The passing of Peter Green is a MAJOR loss for the Blues Community. Thank you for the music, passion and your deep influence on my guitar playing. Rest in Eternal Peace Mr. Peter Green.

RIP Peter Green, one of the most incredible blues players of all time. His influence on me has been huge.
It's a shame his story is so tragic.
