This is the part of our forum where you can buy and sell National, Dobro, MM, and any other brands of resophonic guitars, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, lap steels, amps, records, CDs and anything else that may be of interest to our members and visitors.
NOTE: This is a free advertising space and it reaches a large worldwide community that has taken me 19 years to create. While I am 100% happy with members using this board to sell stuff, it would be a gesture of goodwill when a sale is made to make a donation towards the running of the forum, especially as some people join the forum just for the purpose of accessing our community to sell their guitar. For a while it has really bugged me that people join just for that purpose and we never hear from them again.
A couple of weeks ago a regular forum member sold a guitar and sent me a PM. It said..."thank you for giving me the place to sell my guitar and I would like to donate a few quid to the forum as a gesture of thanks" I said it wasn't necessary, but he insisted. He also told me that one or two other forums that he uses have this kind of policy in place. It is not obligatory or expected, but a gesture of a few quid towards the running costs when something is sold would be helpful, but more than that, it would be appreciated
Sometimes when people join just to sell something, I feel that we, our community, are being viewed like ducks floating in a barrel at the fair.
It wouldn't worry me if it was £1.00, £5.00, £10.00 or £20.00, it is just a gesture of goodwill and appreciation of being able to sell stuff to a target audience at no cost.
I still want this to be a free advertising board, but just with an added "appreciation gesture"
To make a donation, my Paypal is - blues @ michaelmesser . co . uk - without the spaces :-)
Does that sound okay and make sense?
Thanks
