Welcome to MAIN STREET!
This is the section of our forum where Michael Messer products, concerts, tours and workshops are advertised, promoted and discussed. The idea of MAIN STREET is to keep the MM advertising in one place.
TIN CAN ALLEY is the place to post an advert for private sales of guitars and other music-related items.

It's a funny old world. I sold that guitar cheap to get rid of it because I had too many MM test guitars around the place. There were only ever a few of those coverplates made because when I comparison tested them against regular coverplates I found out why John Dopyera never made many. They are too open and sound a bit too close to a National without a coverplate.
This instrument is not as good as the first prototype which I oversaw and brought back from Shanghai in 2009. The colour was always a problem to achieve because the people in Shanghai just didn't understand what I was trying to achieve, so instead of it looking like a 1920s National, it looks like a circus clown's prop. The plywood is not thick enough and there are one or two other differences, but as time goes by I appreciate how this type of thing becomes collectable and how they improve as instruments. There will only ever be one Test 2 MMB28.
I have a drawer full of those hula girl decal water slide transfers. They were properly made by a master of his craft, not laster water slide transfers like most modern ones. I have considered selling them as I have around 40 to 50 of them. Mark Makin designed the decal which were very expensive to produce.
