I've always liked the look of the old National Trojans, so when I got this wooden 'definitely not a Trojan' resonator guitar, I thought I'd have a bash at making a similar tailpiece for it. It's made from an archtop tailpiece which was in a box of bits I got out of a skip (as you do). I had to bend its 'legs' straight and then bend them further up to shorten the whole thing. I think it looks the part and nothing's gone bang yet. It's the same guitar Robn was saying nice things about in this thread, by the way. Very nicely done! Put on some MM Newtone strings to make it just right!

ice work bonzo just like the gretsch ones,Anyway I slightly chipped the nut on my tricone on the bass side it holds the string ok but I was not happy and next service gonna replace it [ see pic centre]and like yourself RE Skips I have found the perfect source for good heavy real bone its the big uk pet chain and it only cost £1.10p its lovely material to work with dry hard and lovely dink sound when tapped together,The brass one next to the bone one is for a friend who wants to put it on his strat so a bit diy is in order in the future...When i was working on the bone nut the guy called in for the brass one and said about the bone >>UNACCEPTABLE COMMENT REMOVED BY MODERATOR<<
