I didn't see that. At least they tried, they might have failed, but at least they tried

Maybe they're selling it cos it won't stay in tune.

Yes Lew,
The other one looks nice. It’s listed as “Seller Refurbished”. I would say the body has been refinished, unless it’s one of Michael’s new ones but would have thought it a bit early for them to enter the resale market and do they have a chrome coverplate?
Does look nice though

Does look nice though It looks like an early MM Blues because it has a nato neck and unbound fretboard. The body has been refinished and the nickel coverplate is a later addition. I like them with the nickel coverplate and sometimes sell them with one fitted. This dates back to when Busker Guitars was my distributor. Shine On Michael

Phil ala Orbital has a stripped cover plate like that one. Very cool looking.
I’m hoping to get my speckled Blues back from the garage next Saturday - to say I’m looking forward to it would be an understatement for sure!
Best all

Well, the “other one” has gone and for more than it was originally listed for! There’s a lot of weird stuff happening on eBay at the moment and I think we may be driving it
Think I’ll keep schtum in future :-)

Hah!
Just seen this thread. I bought it. It's got a National cone and it's lovely.

Good, it has moved on to its next owner.
This is almost a production MM Blues, but there are two major differences - the F holes are short rolled ones, rather than the correct long flat cut ones, and the body depth is shallower than it is supposed to be. Also, the stamp on the headstock was not done by the manufacturer, it was a stamp that I had made here for the first few MMs. The finish was never an MM finish, it just appeared on this and a few other MMs.
