Hi, The Ralph Bown on Ebay used to belong to me, I recently sold it as my hands just can't get round it anymore. It is a fantastic guitar and has monster tone and volume. The price it is up for is a bargain, I sold it for considerably more than this. If you can afford it, buy it, you will not regret it.

Re-chords: LINK and LINK and LINK and (cont.p94) or if you want to pay more for better quality LINK(Don't know why I didn't think of that last one first) By the way the drone chords are doubled so if you cut off the tassles you'll have two 'straps'

Graeme, spelling is cords! I thought you were discussing another obscure musical theory (popular around here at the moment) until I pressed the link! Lol!
Best wishes and good health to you all, John

I haven't corrected my misspelling (is that how it's spelt)? of cords John as it would make your post seem a bit weird.By the way I just had a quick look at my drone cords and I think they'd make excellent 'straps' You can easily slip a strap button through the weave (you'd need to tie thread at each side to stop it from unravelling. If you cut the tassels off just use a match/lighter to seal the ends as you would do when shortening a mooring rope,as I'm sure Tall Sailor would confirm. Probably best if you wrap some tape round about 3mm from the cut.

Alex has built a beautiful sounding 12 string guitar here.....
No affiliation, but I do like to support someone that I am watching grow and develop into a great luthier.

Shine On Michael Hi there Michael, Good to 'see' you again. I've messaged Alex to see what the crack is, so to speak, as I'm weighing up my options. His guitars do sound great, although I can't quite access that YouTube link you posted just yet. It's my bloody Wi-Fi again. Thank you, and all my best!👍

Their feedback is worth noting. Are you talking about the positives or would the 2 negatives bother you?

I’d be inclined to ask the seller what happened there re the two very negative comments. I appreciate some buyers are just fussy twits though who leave such feedback without any prior dialogue with the seller. As I say, just worth noting before bidding like a champ :-)

One of the negative comments was when they cancelled the sale after the auction ended because the winning bid was too low, although that is really annoying the buyer won't have lost out. They have a note saying that the item is for sale elsewhere and I wouldn't be surprised if the seller pulls that stunt again.
i am unsure sure what the other issue was but where will be disagreements in business, they seem to have a reasonable amount of positive feedback for selling guitars to compensate.
After dealing with a recent eBay dispute as a seller I have come to realise that eBay/paypal dispute policy will just about always favour the buyer. If a buyer reports an item as not as described (even with no justification) eBay will freeze the funds in PayPal and you end up in a position where you are forced to pay return postage and issue a refund. After researching eBay selling forums and contacting eBay by phone it seems like these disputes are very difficult for sellers to fight.
As long as you are not dealing with a total scam artist a bit of negitave feedback could be viewed as a positive as it may put off a few bidders and help keep the price down.
