Really sad news to hear that Little Richard has died. Little Richard was indeed a legend and one of the inventors of rock'n'roll. I believe he was 87 years old. I saw him a couple of times, but didn't get to meet him. However, both of my brothers worked with Richard at different times and so did a few of my friends, they all said he was always a whole lotta fun to be around. The last time I saw Richard was a show my brother, David Messer put on at the Royal Festival Hall in I think 2005. I sat next to Chas Hodges for the show who played air and knee piano for most of the evening, occasionally needing my knees for the high notes! Here is a charming photo of Little Richard and my brother, Alan Messer, in 1985 by Diana Haig. Richard Penniman - Little Richard >RIP Shine On Michael

Sad about another loss but thankful for what he's left behind.

Very sad news ~ another music legend gone...
....I'll always remember with much fondness watching a television programme featuring Little Richard ~ he was in his usual 'livewire' persona, and talked so quickly in his southern accent the producers needed to include subtitles on the screen ☺️
R.I.P Richard Penniman.

These sad days are getting closer together. Little Richard - what an artist! Thanks for the fun we had with and to your music. (...and there we were, a beat group of 13 year olds singing and playing his classics in the yoof club and we didn't have the foggiest idea of what those lyrics meant. We know now ) Sleep tight.
