Gus, thank you for your considerate reply. You are most welcome to be a part of our community and thank you for understanding. Much appreciated.
I have an almost mint condition early Triolian, which when I got it in 1991 had its decal perfectly in tact. However at some point it disintegrated and became a pile of dust in the case, so now it has no decal. I would never stick a fake one on it.

Michael,
I get it, you like to preserve, not restore. I know hundreds of vintage stuff collectors that love to preserve while others like to completely strip and restore to factory new condition. In the case of a guitar, a decal is a decoration and it looks good on the guitar and it can be removed anytime you like. Having an original guitar is all that matters. I have been approached by many vintage stuff collectors to help in completing their projects that were placed in the back burner. It is pleasure to be a part of a restoration project earning the trust of the end user and most flattering to have been chosen and trusted into adding my art into something so historically valuable. It's really amazing.
Thanks for the warm welcome and keep shinning on!.

I should have advised Gus of the policy. It is my error when I introduced him to the forum.

Fred,
It’s not your fault. You only told me that you had posted a recommendation to the forum. I joined and came in to personally thank you. If you read back, I do not say anything about selling decals, only thanking you and the members on the nice compliments.
I’ve decided to switch my avatar to be fair to the rules.
Hope this helps.
Gus

Fred and Gus, Thank you for being thoughtful and kind. You are of course both very welcome here.
I am pleased that we have a decal maker in our midst. You never know when you're going to need one!

It's a small world, I've buy some decals from Gus! Of course something new can't look absolutely like old, but those decals look much better than those offered by a well known company based in California... (I asked this company sell me a replica, with full details, and I mentioned the period correct "Reg.us.pat.off"...my request was really clear, and all what I have for 45 dollars!!! its a decal with a wrong shape (the peak of the shield rounded) too thin letters, bad colour...and no "reg.us.pat.off"... I would never put this on a well loved guitar. It's a shame for this company to not even tell me that they can't use the original design.
Gus he's a real artist, he can do unique design too, I'am very glad to know there's some hope to see him making an attempt to catch the pretty "hula dancer" design.

I made a neck heating tool to try to press out the slight upbow on the 29 triolian. Some highly regarded National and other repair folks believe that when done properly, heat pressing can improve a warped neck. We shall see. Maybe time to increase the fire insurance... UPDATE. the tool was not getting hot enough...barely hitting 200F internally, with not enough output to saturate the neck and fingerboard wood joint. Back to the drawing board to get a bigger diameter square iron tube and a more powerful heating element. Will also add a thermostat to control the output of a larger element.
