If we ever get to the restoration phase of this guitar or simply lacquer the neck and headstock, I had a decal made by a great decal artist I found on ebay. His ebay name is “thatoneguitar” if anyone is interested. He made these for me

Hi there ! Loving your work ! Can you do full sized decals of early wood-bodied Triolians, for the back of the guitars ?? See "Early wood-bodied Triolians" page on this website : notecannons.com/Anemone flowers decal, the surfer dude, and the Hula girl decals

I discussed that with him previously. I showed him some internet images. He said he will need high resolution photographs of the images to get an accurate decal. I would be interested in this also for my triolian for accuracy, even though the yellow hawaiian motif is not my favorite triolian style.

There was another surprise with the 29 Triolian guitar and case. The guitar came in the black case with peeling covering...so I examined and decided to peel off the black covering...and surprise...a case with a strange speckled covering...never saw a case like that...not sure what decade it originated. Had to clean the glue residue off with lacquer thinner, and sealed it with tung oil. Still need to have latches fixed. Original is black. Center image.

Hi guys, hope this logo stuff isn't getting to far from the original thread! Here's a picture of one I made for my Duolian. When I say I , I actually mean my daughter in law! I took a photo on my mobile, sent it to her with some sizing details and she printed it out for me. I'm very pleased with the result and I'm going to do some for my Republics (who haven't replied to any of the G-mails I've sent over the last few months)! Best wishes and good health to you all, John

Hi again ! Here is a sticker decal (not that great !) I bought on ebay some years back, for my 1930 Style O, which was completely missing it's original decal. Then compare it with my 1935 Style O decal : Attachments:

Years back, I had Dave King make a new neck for a Triolian guitar body I had. He made a Baritone neck, so I photographed the Decal from my 1934 Duolian and tried to changed it with primitive photoshopping (this was way back in circa 2004) to make a new decal for the guitar : Not that great. This Gus Salmon's new decals look great. I've ordered a few and will report back, if we don't hear back from Fredcapo first ! Attachments:

Here are a few that I printed today to help a few end users. Again, my art is first before the print so I strive to re create a decal as if it was going to be installed on my guitar, Original, accurate looking. The picture was taken in an angle so the decals look elongated but they are precise in shape and size.
I also have Duolian decals that I did a few weeks back.
Best!,
TOG (Gus)

You are most welcome and while I don't see the point of fake vintage things, I am happy to see you involved with our community. Please be careful to stay on the right side of the advertising rules on here. I did not set this forum up and spend the past seventeen years maintaining it, for people to join and sell their wares. I did set it up for people to discuss this stuff and to share their knowledge. Best wishes Shine On Michael

Thanks Michael, Appreciate the heads up.
I am more of an artist than a decal sales person, I did a few of this decals for a person who needed them. So I am replying to all the nice guys who sent their regards and sympathy. You won't see another post from me of this type again. I Also run group forums and a couple of Facebook groups related to sports and art so I know exactly where you are coming from.
Best regards,
Gus

If there's one thing that would drive me mad it would be owning a vintage Nat. with the headstock decal missing (minor case of OCD talking here) so I suppose these replicas serve a purpose but don't fool anyone as they look so new. I had a 1930 style 0 with a new decal (I believe a friend of Don Van Vliet had licked off the original) and realised that, in the unlikely event of not being able to tell the difference, the original decals were thicker and sat more proud on the headstock.
