Must be a Marmite thing. I hate the stretches required when tuned in fifths. Could string it up as a ukulele I suppose :-)
Good luck with the sale. If it had been a similar parlour I would have been interested.

Aye tuning it ‘Chicago’ would work along with the top four strings of Spanish or Vestapol. I know what you mean about the stretch...big hands certainly helps! In turn I find it near impossible to play mandolin 😐

I have that exact same Regal tenor. They're lovely little instruments. I can appreciate why it has new tuners - mine still has its originals which I really should replace as they slip.

I have a tenor guitar that currently is tuned C G C F, which is the same as a sarod tuning.
