Hi All, I was looking for the model Ry Cooder was playing with John Hooker in the clip posted by forum member Pickers Ditch on "What are you listening to", and one actually came up in the USA. It has a broken tailpiece and is missing the bridge, so on the offhand members might be interested I am posting a link. No affiliation. linkJust to add it was listed last September 2019 so there might be a chance the item was sold and the page not updated Lawd lawdy Harriet

I really would like one of those 1122s or 1123s but I've got too many guitars and basses - unless I sell my Ricky 12 string.
Hmmmm....

Hi Harriet, if it's in a thrift shop I think you pretty much have to be there as it's being put out on display! But I know it can happen!
Best wishes to you all, John

Hi Harriet, I have one of those guitars, but with a different name on the headstock. Mine is a 1952 "Oahu" Supro Ozark. It is a short scale (great for small hands) with just one pickup and it is an amazing little guitar. Isn't Ry Cooder's a Cosmopolitan? Same guitar, just branded with National. (In case anyone is wondering, it has a proper jack socket on the side, so I am not miming!) Shine On Michael

Iyt reminds me a lot (size, shape, scale and single P/U) of my little ES125 3/4 Student Model. I love that thing for slide!

Chris, A few years ago mine was sort of x-rayed by a luthier with a plastic film that allows you to see through pickups, and he was surprised to see that it is not anything like a P90. It is really cheaply built and has a beautiful unique sound.

Hi Michael, I changed the title of the thread to reflect your comments - I think PD also referred to the 1122.
Lawd lawdy, Harriet
I also should have included for forum members outside the US that Goodwill has an online auction site that includes both acoustic and electric guitars, therefore this second edit.
