Lee I saw it and think it’s a stunner. Spot on in the transparent daphne blue.

Well folks looking through whats recommended some nice items but heres my effort under the the heading " A silk purse ......etc,While having a browse on a well known German wholesalers site saw this solid Mahgony dinky travel guitar for £65 yeah thats right well in for a penny and heres the result as I wanted a small late night couch guitar I made the pickup mount from an old strat 3 ply pickguard as well as the mock truss rod cover to give some asthetic balance some retro chicken heads and bone nut and saddle I made from a large bone the had 2 years ago strings are part worn[ like the tyres on my van] EJ42s running it through a vox mini5 and its sweet lovely light practice slide guitar As a footnote thats a bridle quality strap and its worth more than the guitar..Funny old world.

I was recently bit by the electric bug again after many years of only having resonators & acoustics. I found an old late 60's Norma (Teisco/Kawai) with the foil pick up in bad need of some TLC locally and picked her up for about $30usd. Leveled the frets, reattached some binding, replaced some gears/posts on the tuners and cleaned her up real good, she looks and feels much better. I thought I bought the ugliest guitar around these parts, but she's kinda growing on me! Now I'm scraping up to get a little Pignose amp to see what she can do. Good luck in your search! Attachments:

ust an up date since putting a pic of my old strat on an old mate got in touch so it could be leaving me for pastures new Ah well...So in my thirst for electric slide I bought a super tele copy from Germany just over £100 and set it up for slide new bone nut but..... problem the bridge pickup was not high enough not by a great deal so my solution was make and fit a scratch plate cream to match the binding [ 2.3mm thick ] and hey presto problem solved It did take a while to cut shape and bevel the 3 ply material but it was a pleasure to work with, hope you enjoy my rantings Regards t.
