I am looking to purchase my last guitar. Having been playing now for 50 years, I’ve gathered all the guitars I’ve ever wanted - mainly Nationals and Stellas - except for one, a 1928 or ‘29 wood-bodied triolian. I’m willing to pay a premium, top-dollar price - I know they are rare. If anybody knows of one that could be available, please let me know.

If only John. I'd be hanging on to it if I did!

Andymccann, I have two jumbo 12’s, a birch grand concert size, and a 13” Gambler model. Between them they cover every Stella sound and feel.

Oops... this thread appears to have drifted off topic and is confusing for anyone following the original post about obtaining a 1920s wood bodied Triolian.
I have seen a couple for sale recently, but both are gone now. There was a time when nobody knew about these guitars and when they turned up they were hard to sell, but times have changed and it is now common knowledge that they are amazing instruments, so they get snapped up very quickly.
I got one in the early 1990s and it completely changed my opinion and understanding of what wood bodied National and National-style guitars could actually be.
Please only post on this thread if you know of one for sale. Thanks 🙏
