Hello, I'm Sebastian from Berlin and I play steel guitar for around 10 years now. I made a new video: By The Waters Of Minnetonka on my National Tricone (1931) My arrangement is close to the version of Jim and Bob, a fantastic Duo from the 30s. A Highbass Tuning (Hi to low E C#A E C# A) Hope you like it !😊 Aloha 🌴 Sebastian

Lovely, am still smiling after listening to your guitar. How could anyone hear this and not be happy? Pete PS: this probably should be posted on the Music Row section of the forum, Michael will hopefully move it

Hi Sebastian,
You have learnt to play that piece of music very well. Excellent!
I have studied Jim & Bob's recordings for around 35 years and unlike many people that have watched your video, I know every centimetre and note of their recording of By The Waters Of The Minnetonka, and most of their repertoire.
You may be interested to hear that I have pitch corrected their recordings and that By The Waters of The Minnetonka was actually recorded closer to G# than it was to absolute A. Their recording sounds more real in G#
I am sure you are aware that I wrote some of the liner notes for the Grass Skirt Jim & Bob album.
Thanks for sharing it. Lovely playing!
