What are the odds on this happening this year I wonder. Anybody in the know hazard a guess? I’ve got to look forward to something.
Stay safe everybody. Pat

Hi Pat,
I think the odds are not in our favour because it is only seven months away and I don't believe that concerts, theatre shows, festivals, etc.... will happen for a very long time.
Meanwhile, I am starting to get my head around the idea of making something happen that weekend, even if we all meet up online for some lessons, some social, student performances and the tutor concert. It's not ideal, but I think that with some tech help and using Pocklington Arts Centre as our umbrella, that it can happen as a virtual event.
Once I know which way we are going I will put all my energy into making it happen and making it a success. I could bring in some other tutors, we could do group sessions on Zoom and/or House Party, and we could do private lessons. So there will be something happening, with or without driving up the M1 to North Yorkshire.

FWIW I would advise that we hold tight to see where things are at the end of August. It's good to know that MM is being proactive, though. I'm a bit more optimistic than most, I know - but I hope it will be OK.

Even if they have lifted general restrictions by then, I think gatherings of that nature may still be discouraged, at least for those of us who are having to shield at the moment. ☹️ It would be great if you could get something together using technology. I look forward to hearing more in due course. All the best and stay safe! Pat

It may depend on the size of event. Under 20 maybe will be permitted? TT

It is becoming more likely every day that this year's Pocklington Acoustic Blues & Roots Weekend will be an online event.

I still have my hotel booked in case it is still on.
Here's hoping.
I will await news, I realise it is still a little early.
