See page 256 of Mark Makin's book for details.
This is a very nice guitar and at less than a thousand pounds I think it is a good deal. Make them an offer and I bet they'll take it.
It has a 10.5" biscuit-bridge cone, which can sometimes sound a bit dull, but there are replacements available.
My advice would be to buy it.

Hi there !
I might get a chance to get over to GuitarGuitar this weekend and check out the guitar for you.
I live (only)just outside Edinburgh, on the East side, and GuitarGuitar is on the very west side of Edinburgh, so I don't get over there much. However, my 11yr old boy enjoys visits there these days - so maybe I'll manage this Saturday.
They usually phone me, actually, any time they get an old resonator guitar, to see if I'm interested in buying and/or see if I can shed any light on them. They haven't phoned me yet but they know I'm more into Nationals.
It's weird though - they have NRP guitars in their Glasgow branch but none in their Edinburgh branch. When I asked the manager of the Edinburgh branch why they don't stock NRP guitars in their Edinburgh branch, he said they find they all get shop-soiled, dented and tarnished being in the shop for too long. Can't see why that would any different to their NRP guitars in their Glasgow shop !

That would be very good of you. I just spoke to Jay in there and he gave me the serial number and bottom price. His in hand description wasn’t the best but he was a good guy. But it’s really all about how it sounds and plays aye. I’m liking it more and more

Probably because the one's in the Glasgow shop get nicked before they have a chance to become shop-soiled, dented and tarnished.

Can't go wrong. It's a great guitar, it's quite rare and it is not expensive. Shine On Michael

£900 is a big sum for me to spend on something without having it in hand. Just didn’t dive in like maybe I should have. The engraving did it for me. Just bloody wonderful

Just bloody wonderful I completely understand what you are saying. The problem is that these days when something good appears, it really doesn't take long to go viral, so you have to be quick thinking. Shine On Michael

I would not worry regards your £900 outlay as there are probably a que of people here who will give you your money back if you don,t get on with it, I would have bought it but my latest interest is currently in customs clearance so my hands are tied.
It is a direct link to the Dopera family so should be cherished.
