Was watching the MLB World Series last night and a Ford Truck commercial came on featuring a snippet of Eric Burdon and Animals original rendition of Hookers Boom Boom ....sounded great gave me a wonderful warm feeling that the music and bands I love will remain timeless. It was the original recording, processed a bit if you can imagine even more punch and dynamics than the original.

Hi just a few lines to compliment you on your choice Eric Burdon is from my city the rough tough North East he is [ apart from Joe cocker ] one of the best blues singers the UK has produced ...Thinks...dig out the old records yes first track I am going to play is" No more Elmore",Many thanks for jogging my memory,Regards Tokyo.

I first saw Eric Burdon with The Animals in 1964 or maybe '65 at the Winter Gardens in Margate, Kent. Eric Burdon is indeed a fine singer, but I see him and the late Joe Cocker as soul singers, rather than blues singers.
