Maxx, The only rule with CBGs is that there are no rules so... ...steel strings, nylon strings, cigar boxes, tea boxes, cake tins, oil cans, one neck, 2 necks, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6... strings "If you can imagine it, then go build it" - as nobody famous once said! My latest creation is a 3-string teabox guitar tuned to GDG which you play open G and open D tunes on. It's a sort of hybrid tuning (the intervals, not the actual notes). As soon as I can write some damn lyrics I'll record a song for my myspace page!!! Dom

Chickenbone! I used to work for a company that exported loadsa stuff, is there any point in suggesting you hunt around export packers and pick up their waste and offcuts of ply and timber? See you in Cotteridge on Thurs, will bring terrible cheap acoustic guitar and demonstrate my inablility to sing. Apologies for non attendance, was resurrecting deceased/diseased drum pedal. Will not be there next thurs, early night for me ready for the Purbeck Pilgrimage. Incidentally, they have had a cancellation, so there's a double room available at £55 a night now if anyone's interested.
