Hi Michael,
I copied this from the Sixtus website:
‘The pickup has internal "poleShade magnets" to adjust the output of the b- and e-string of acoustic phosphor bronze string sets. In case desired, said shades can be adjusted; closer to the middle means more dampening. To do so, make sure the lid can be shifted freely aside also when fixed on the guitar. For electric guitar strings simply take out the pole shade magnets’
I never assume anything, so does the reference to ‘electric guitar strings’ apply to nickel acoustic strings as well?
Thanks Chris

Thanks Chris Hi Chris, That is a good question that I am not able to answer, so I will ask the guy that makes the pickups. I am thinking they are the same as electric strings because sometimes I use them on my electric guitars because I like the feel of them. Shine On Michael

Chris... I just added a bit to my previous post and I have written to Mr MM Sixtus himself.

Hi Chris,
Yes it does. According to Elmar that makes the pickups, nickel strings, magnet-wise, are the same as "electric strings"
