Just messing about tonight on the Style O and thought I'd record something. Here's a cover of Fred McDowell's 'You Gotta Move'. I wanted more of a minor sound to it than usual to make it a bit more haunting, added some reverb to further add to this.

Woke up this morning... Pretty early, dull and a bit bleak out there. So this was a fine start to the week.

Pickup or microphone to put it through the amp??? Lee I wasn't actually going though the amp here Lee, purely acoustic and mic'd with a zoom H1. I added a bit of reverb afterwards to the recording which is probably why it sounds like it's going through the amp. That and the fact that it's a huge sounding guitar

It has a good atmospheric sound, empty aircraft hanger, makes me wonder if anyone has tried an empty shipping container, that should bounce the sound around.

Lee Not a shipping container, but the last serious band I played in rehearsed in a WWII Nissen hut on the corner of an old bomber airfield. The sound was great as long as we took all the reverb off the PA. Bl**dy cold and damp in the winter, though.

Just found this clip of bottleneck John (forum member) also doing a fine rendition.
