Vastopol, there was an opportunity to add something that was missing to complete/bring the guitar up to pre 35 standards. The end block ties in the neck stick although the endpin screw is still short and does not penetrate much beyond the skin of the body.
Michael is probably right in that the body of mine was already drilled for a triolian/duolian body but instead got matched with a run for sears with the simpler coverplate and everything was costed to market at probably under $30 or so.
I have a few nice guitars but this just feels right in a very simple way, not precious like my style 2 still as you say in lovely condition but I am not afraid to take it anywhere, the replacement cone is en route from Thoman so hopefully next week it will be singing again.
Send me your email via the message tab and I will send some photos as unable to re size at the moment.

Here we go again, new/replacement cone from Thoman, all looks good this time i Saddle reduced in size until break angle is nearly right , on and off the guitar several times cutting the slots on the bench (I have a template from the previous biscuit) then final adjustment with the strings 3/4 up to tension, biscuit off again for light final sand and gluing to to the cone where it will now wait on the stand until final reassembly, I have had a quick slide and it already sounds fantastic. again. [attachment id="5282" thumbnail="1" Pascal thanks, but I must confess it is a 37, not a popular year as the electrics were starting to take control. Lee Attachments:
