Hi Michael, all...
Looks like you will be worldwide.. BBC 2 shows up here in nola via space waves and science stuff. ( internets )
I'm usually up at 3 am so I plan on tuning in...
Im curious, thats a snazzy hat madame disk jockey is wearing... you havent been engaging in payola I hope. 😃
Have fun, all best
Jeff
p.s. Im also curious as to whether this a live performance being broadcast or a tape of a performance ?

Hi Jeff,
That's good. I thought that the BBC iPlayer and Sounds App are not available in other countries.
No payola, just good taste in hats!
It is a totally live performance, not pre-recorded.
This will be my seventh live session on the BBC Radio 2 blues show since 1987, but my first with the current presenter, Cerys Matthews.
Thanks for the good wishes,
Shine On Michael

Great news! As someone who regularly listens to this show at work in the mornings, relistening to the best episodes many times, I’m muchly looking forward to having a live Mitra performance available As for listening from foreign climes, it seems pretty straight forward nowadays - here’s the BBC SOUNDS page on how: link

Hi Jeff,
Absolutely, you and all the other listeners are very welcome to record the show. I will do the same, but mine will be from the BBC iPlayer a day or two later.
I am sure we will take some photos of the set up. The engineers at the BBC's main studios are always first class. I have been recording there for 30+ years and it's always a great sound.

That was well cool chaps. The three us over here in windy Worthing were getting down to those solos in Rollin’ and Tumblin’ 😎 (Cheers Dad for ringing and reminding me it was on!)
Cheers Lew

Lol... im here in nola looking for adaptors to route the headphone out into the zoom... check in here. ...And find I got the time difference reversed. What I get for staying up all night... DOH! From what ive read here... i hope it will be accessible from the archives. Grrrrrr... lol edit : Well... all is not lost. I am able to get Cery's show archives, the sound quality seems excellent and the stream isn't buffering. ( a problem at 3 pm here as the kiddies are watching utube ) your performance is not avilable yet, but at least im ready... Anyhowse, once again, im my own worst enemy... Edit 2 : 7pm... oh wow !.... lve gotten though you gotta move and ... syncopated tablas, whoulda thunk it ? absolutley beautiful... i hope you had as much fun making it as i am listening... bravo ! j Ps, P ditch, you were right about cerey's voice... she reminds me of a Britain Kitten i worked with on cnn's global groove... I cant remember the womans name other than she said she was called that sound quality was such that im thinking Michael grew up near london.... west ?

Well played. I was a bit surprised though that Cerys seemed to be struggling with basics like what a resonator guitar was. TT
