I have seen Chris on the Auberge tour many moons ago, his Album Blue guitars was a fantastic piece of work covering every aspect of the blues from Acoustic to electric in a boxed set with artwork, it was an incredible bargain when it came out in 2005, I must get it out and play a few discs.
He also knows how to do a good Christmas song......

+1 for Blue Guitars Lee. A labour of love really, and with that heartwarming video disc too. It does "take some handling" due to its virtually unbridled scope, but it's really well worth it and makes you realise the work that went into it. I keep returning to "Shamrock Diaries" and "Stainsby Girls" in particular. An all round decent gent. Good call Jono.

I know Chris, he lives quite close to me. He's a lovely guy and makes a fine cup of Italian espresso.
Chris has been through some very serious health problems in recent years and I wish him well.

A friend of mine was in his road crew in the 80's. He said that unlike most bands who would talk about last night's gig Chris and band would talk about last night's meal. Italian blood you see. Great songwriter and slide player--really knows how to use space.

Chris also happens to be a great cook, his panettone is excellent!

Just to stay on the theme of Italian influenced rock star's culinary skills for a minute I have had the pleasure of sampling his brother Nick's catering which I can also report is A1. He did though have a disconcerting habit of turning his eyelids inside out then tapping you on the shoulder. What has this to do with resonator guitars I hear you ask? Well--nothing--but Xmas is a time for lightheartedness after all.

Nice guy, loves his cars and loves his blues Lives in same village as me and I’ve known a good friend of his for years. He kindly let me sit in to listen to one of his rehearsals a few years back and gave me a signed copy of his new record. He had a bright coloured bit of material in his slide so I thought it must be some trick he’d picked up over the years to give him more control over the bottleneck to aid vibrato ..he said “nah man it’s just so I can find the damned things again when they fall on the floor!” Lol Down to earth guy for sure Jimi
