Con Rendell, just over the border in Brantham, Suffolk. He did a superb job of resaddling my old Triolian for me. I was put on to him by Washboardchris of this parish who has had a lot of work done by Con as I understand it.

Con is a good guy and the closest to you, he worked on my 32 00 and made it sing again, he is well schooled in old school techniques and understands how to get the instruments to perform, the old forge/blacksmiths is a great guitar workshop.

Not a resonator, but Con Rendell certainly did a great restoration job on my early thirties L-00.

Hey. I’ll throw in my two penneth. I now own the 1930s Style 0 and Triolian that Washboard Chris mentioned. Both were worked on by Con and play and sound really nicely. I’m actually based in Leeds and use Steve Evans at Beltona but if I was in Essex then he’d be the guy.

Rather belatedly many thanks for all your responses/suggestions.In the end I took my Blues 28 to Con Rendell who did an excellent job undoing the efforts of another luthier who said he knew what he was doing but blatantly didn’t.Guitar now plays better than ever.Highly recommend Con.

we all knew Con wouldn't let you down, has he tided up the workshop as that is an experience in itself !!!
It is like an Aladdin's cave for guitarists who appreciate wood.
