No affiliation etc, but cheap Vintage AM1 reso on fleabay, £200 starting price. Yes, I can hear the sucking of air through teeth, oooh the ‘f’ holes aren’t quite right etc etc.
I used to own a Vintage tricone, perfectly playable and I’m sure this is the same.

Hi Lew, I've got the square neck version which is a nice guitar. Solid build, plenty of tone and volume, at least my one has! Are you thinking about getting it?
Best wishes to you all, John

It looks very nice but no I I’m in no position to buy a guitar at the moment what with the kid around the corner and having bought a MMB28 w/Highlander p/u (thank you for the nod forum member) a couple months ago. I was just curious about the Busker as I’ve never seen one before, so just interested in what folk on here might know about it. I’m not sure where the seller is located but if it’s close I’d be willing to check it out! John, you know I’ve got a little piggy bank going just in case you ever decide to part with your square neck Busker ;-)

There are big differences between the korean and chinese 'duolian' style resos - the f-holes are merely an easy way to tell them apart. I had a chinese one and it was excellent really, and I've played the korean ones - they really are pretty terrible sounding. TT

Not sure what effect it will have on the value - price of instruments already out there but thanks to mr trumps tariff lunacy just about everything from China made of metal is going to cost a bit more (20% or so) here in murica in the coming months.
Regardless, I do believe Chinese made resos are a very good value. After some set up and tweaking both, I like my republic better than my nrp.

sorry folks, but i have bought it. I did miss a trick though. I always make a low offer on the 'best offer' and negotiate to an acceptable price. asking price £199 i was going to offer £150, but thought it wouldnt get accepted so i offered £160 and he accepted it. He is a dealer so whatever he says i have full protection from paypal and distance selling regulations. I also have the AM3 tricone, which after some fettling by an expert is now rather nice. looking forward to taking one of them to Michaels workshop in August as i can't really play slide and want to learn.
