I've recently been experimenting with the finding the perfect tone bar. I've found what suits me best so I'm selling off some others. All of them have had very little play wear at all so are pretty much as new (with original packaging in most cases). I'm selling at 2/3 the original price including postage within the UK. From left to right in the photo - Unbranded glass slide: 1" x 3"1/4; 3.5oz (98g); I don't have packaging for this but I do have a beard tone bar tube to send it in; £6
- Dunlop 920: 7/8" x 3"1/4; 7.5oz (215g); stainless steel; £18
Latchlake bar: 3/4" x 3"; 5.6oz (160g); stainless steel, supposedly modelled on Sol Hoopii's (formerly sold as Broz-o-phonic); £20 SOLD!- Powder coated steel made by Michael Hillman; 3/4" x 3"; I actually ordered 3 of these and am keeping the other two! £12
Silica Sound 113: 3/4" x 3"; 3.5oz (98g); blue glass over a solid brass rod; £18 SOLD!John Pearse Thermo-cryonic tone bar: 3/4" x 2"7/8: Cryogenically frozen stainless steel; this is really nice but I prefer something a bit longer; £22 SOLD!Vintage '30s-'40s Bakelite bar: 3/4" x 2"5/8: vintage red Bakelite with a nice swirl, quite rare to find one this width; £40 SOLD!
I also have a Diamond Bottlenecks "Ultimate" in a rather fetching purple swirly colour. Ca 67mm long with a 19mm internal diameter; includes the original cloth bag; £17
